Resistant Cases Treatment

No less than 20% of the cases that come to the consultation can be considered complicated or difficult cases. Or how the psychiatrists say, treatment resistant cases. The reason for the resistance is either because they have not been diagnosed and/or treated properly, or because the patient has not responded to the initial correct treatment. Therefore, this contingent of patients need to be included in the so-called treatment resistant cases.

Our practice is specialized, beyond non-complicated cases, those who pose a challenge in the treatment by not responding to standard therapy. This is common in the treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and psychosis. Such specialization is supported by the quality of the resumes of team members. In our consultation we have several international specialists in the areas mentioned, which is a differential with most psychiatric consultations in Barcelona.

So, we benchmark in severe and resistant disorders of the sphere of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and psychosis.

In the therapeutical approach section it can be readed how the scientific contribution of these psychiatrists are reflected in our treatment methodology.
